САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:
У Европској унији је могуће регистровати ознаке географског порекла за вина, ароматизована вина, жестока алкохолна пића и пољопривредне и прехрамбене производе. Од 1. децембра 2025. године уводи се могућност установљења географских ознака за занатске и индустријске производе. Поступак установљења географске ознаке подељен је у две фазе: националну и унитарну, при чему на нивоу Европске уније поступак спроводи Европски завод за интелектуалну својину (EUIPO). Изузетно је могуће спровести и поступак директне регистрације. Установљена географска ознака за занатски или индустријски производ аутоматски је заштићена на територијама свих држава чланица Европске уније. Иако је за обележавање географског порекла занатских и индустријских производа одабрана географска ознака, предвиђена је, за разлику од TRIPS-a, апсолутна правна заштита. За међународну регистрацију географске ознаке за занатски или индустријски производ установљене у Европској унији, а у складу са Женевским актом Лисабонског споразума из 2015. године, надлежна је Европска комисија. Европска комисија је овлашћена да у прописаним случајевима интервенише преузимајући одлучивање у поступку установљења географске ознаке из државе чланице ЕУ.
