Digitization as a product of the fourth industrial revolution has introduced radical changes in all aspects of human existence. The goal of the work is to recognize the importance of digital leadership, as a completely new concept in the improvement of business in all organizational dimensions, that is, the improvement of business excellence. Compared to traditional leaders, digital leaders have different abilities and perspectives, which enable them to achieve success, competitiveness, as well as the leadership positions of their organizations. The concept of business excellence created during the 60s of the last centuries pointed to a key aspect of the organization’s business. The goal of all organizations is to create profit, but above all, the way it is achieved. Therefore, the criteria, and values of business excellence will be analysed in the paper. The results of the work indicate that digital leadership affects business excellence by acting on hard and soft organizational dimensions. More precisely, we are talking about digital transformation strategy, business strategy, organizational structure, organizational culture and climate, organizational learning, encouraging employee participation at all levels, focus on consumers and others.
