САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:
Job satisfaction is a critical determinant of motivation, retention, and service quality in the healthcare sector, especially among pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. This study presents a desk analysis of employee satisfaction in primary healthcare pharmacies in Serbia, based on annual surveys conducted from 2007 to 2024. The standardized questionnaire, developed in cooperation with the Institute of Public Health of Serbia and the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Pharmacy, evaluates various work-related aspects using a 5-point scale. Data from both public and private pharmacies were analyzed using SPSS software, with results published annually. Findings reveal gradual improvements in employee satisfaction over time, particularly in areas such as pharmacy equipment, coworker collaboration, and relationships with patients. The highest overall satisfaction score (4.11) was recorded in 2020, while the most favorable ratings for collaboration and patient interaction were seen in 2023 and 2024. Despite the introduction of electronic surveys, participation levels did not significantly increase. These insights support the development of targeted strategies aimed at enhancing the work environment and retaining qualified pharmaceutical staff.
