САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:

The increasing share of renewable energy sources in electricity generation, combined with the strict requirements from transmission system operators for reactive power support, often necessitates the use of reactive power compensation devices. The application of reactive compensation addresses the issue of reactive power support for voltage control, but it may also negatively impact the power quality parameters, depending on the structure of the energy park. This paper analyzes the impact of reactive compensation installation on the power quality parameters at the point of connection of the energy park. The paper presents a wind farm modeled in the DIgSILENT PowerFactory software package, with integrated reactive compensation to meet voltage-reactive capability criteria and investigates its effect on power quality parameters.

The impact of pure reactive compensation (capacitors) on power quality parameters are analyzed, as well as the effect of filters in improving these parameters. Additionally, the influence of considering the frequency dependence of power plant components on power quality is also addressed.
