САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:
Given the increasing demand for electricity that’s accompanying high environmental standards regarding CO₂ emission reduction The Republic of Serbia has developed a legislative framework for prosumers, which, combined with the declining cost of building solar power plants, has led to the increasingly widespread integration of rooftop solar installations in households.. This paper analyzes the impact of the growing electricity production from rooftop solar installations in households and businesses on intraday management of EPS JSC portfolio, by illustrating the distortion of consumption and production diagrams. Through representative real-world examples, the impact of non-dispatchable production from solar systems is quantitatively assessed. Furthermore, the paper presents optimization mechanisms used to neutralize this impact and increase the company’s profitability. Suggestions are provided for improvements and more adequate responses to the growing trend of solar power plant implementation. The goal is to demonstrate the importance of adapting the market and management strategies, as well as to highlight new technologies that could serve as complementary measures for optimizing energy management.
