SAŽETAK / ABSTRACT:
The digital twin for high-voltage overhead transmission lines represents a virtual model of the power infrastructure, enabling continuous monitoring, analysis, and optimization of the transmission network’s operation.
This concept is based on the integration of real field data, the use of simulations, and the application of analytical tools to improve the efficiency of maintenance, planning, and network management. The virtual model allows precise monitoring of infrastructure conditions, predictive maintenance using Business Intelligence (BI) tools, and simulations for network optimization, all with the goal of faster decision-making. One of the technologies used for data collection in the creation of a virtual model is aerial imaging, which enables precise inspection, mapping, and analysis of infrastructure from the air. This method utilizes various sensor technologies and platforms, including drones, helicopters, and satellites, to provide detailed data on the condition of high-voltage overhead transmission lines and their surroundings. The amount of data collected through inspections in this manner is vast and requires the application of software that provides users with mechanisms for rapid data processing and decision-making based on the obtained information. This paper describes the process of data collection and processing, and the implementation of a software aimed at transforming the way EMS AD conducts inspections and maintenance of high-voltage overhead transmission lines. The goal is to enable proactive problem detection and resolution, reduce maintenance costs, and enhance the safety and reliability of the power system’s operation.
