САЖЕТАК:

Sveobuhvatno razumevanje sekularnih trendova fizičke aktivnosti djece i adolescenata je neophodno u  javnom  zdravstvu  zbog značajnoj uticaja ovog faktora na zdravlje. Nezavisno od tjelesne mase, kardiorespiratorna izdrţljivost kod djece je povezana sa više  metaboličkih  faktora rizika. Adolescenti sa niskim vrijednostima kardiorespiratorne izdrţljivosti imaju veću vjerovatnoću da će razviti hipertenziju  u  odraslom  dobu, čak i sa normalnim indeksom tjelesne mase. Nivo motoričkih sposobnosti tokom djetinjstva i adolescencije je identifikovan kao značajan faktor koji utiče na ukupni dnevni nivo fizičke aktivnosti i odrţavanje normalnih vrijednosti tjelesne mase u odraslom dobu. Nastava fizičkog vaspitanja treba da  igra  ključnu ulogu u poboljšanju fizičke aktivnosti djece i adolescenata,  jer predstavlja društveni uticaj koji obuhvata najširi dio populacije odgovarajućeg hronološkog uzrasta. Promocija zdravog načina ţivota, kroz pronalaţenje efektivnih načina za odrţavanje fizičke aktivnosti u proporučenim granicama za djecu i adolescente od suštinske je vaţnosti za budućnost stanovništva i od izuzetnog je ekonomskog, socijalnog i demografskog uticaja  na  budućnost  svake zemlje
