REPRODUCTIVE POTENTIAL OF TWO SPECIES OF ENTOMOPATHOGENIC NEMATODES ON GRATE WAX MOTH LARVAE (GALLERIA MELLONELLA)

SAŽETAK:

Lokalne populacije entomopatogenih nematoda vrsta Steinernema carpocapsae iS. feltiae testirane su u laboratorijskim uslovima sa ciljem utvrđivanja reproduktivnog potencijala na larvama voskovog moljca (Galleria mellonella). Najvećarepoduktivnost S. carpocasaepostignuta je pri inokulacionoj dozi od 60 nematoda po larvi i iznosila je 285.283,3 nematoda, odnosno 1.506, nematoda po mg tjelesne mase domaćina. Za vrstu S. feltiaenajveća reproduktivnostpostignuta je pri dozi od 120 nematoda i iznosila je 114.018, ili 546,7 po mg tjelesne mase. Ispitivane populacije su pokazale dobru reproduktivnost u in vivo uslovima, te predstavljaju potencijal za primjenu u biološkoj kontroli štetnih insekata.
