ABSTRACT / САЖЕТАК:
Absinthe was obtained by distillation of mixture obtained by maceration of Artemisia absinthium (flowers and stems), Foeniculum vulgare (stems) and Llicium verum (fruits and seeds) in grape brandy (40 vol%). It was shown that the primary origin of α-thujone in obtained absinthe liquor is Artemisia absinthium flowers, where it acts as a major component of the essential oil. The highest thujone recovery was obtained at initial stage of distillation probably due to high ethanol concentration wich induced thujone evaporation. The determined concentrations of α-thujone in all obtained samples were in accordance with regulations for bitter alcoholic beverages.
