ABSTRACT / САЖЕТАК:

This paper presents the definition of the rules and premises of the Knowledge Base (KB) of an Information-Expert System (IES) in the sub-field of fruits and fruit products (ICS3 = 67.080.10), the study refers to fields of the third level of International Classification Standards (ICS). The research focus is on structuring knowledge, identifying relevant parameters, and forming logical rules that enable reliable conclusions to be drawn within the IES. The sources of knowledge, methods of their formalization, as well as the way of presenting facts, rules, and relations within the KB are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the possibilities of applying IES in the processes of classification, quality assessment, technological processing, and control of fruit products. The proposed KB model enables improved decision-making, standardization of procedures, and support for users in professional and production activities. The results of the paper indicate the importance of IES as a tool for efficient knowledge management in the agro-industrial domain.
