ABSTRACT / САЖЕТАК:

This study aimed to compare the cardioprotective effects of pantoprazole and lansoprazole with ischemic preconditioning in isolated rat hearts subjected to ischemia–reperfusion. Both proton pump inhibitors improved left ventricular contractility, with pantoprazole showing the most pronounced effect, while also affecting heart rate and coronary flow. These findings suggest that PPIs, particularly pantoprazole, may serve as effective pharmacological preconditioning agents, enhancing myocardial recovery after ischemic injury.
