The spotted-wing drosophila (Drosophila suzukii) is an invasive pest of soft fruits worldwide. It is one of the most significant pests affecting fruit and grape production in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Over two years, we investigated the effectiveness of different attractants: apple cider vinegar, apple cider vinegar + red wine, red wine vinegar, and Dros’Attract® (Biobest) in attracting spotted wing drosophila. The study was conducted in a sour cherry orchard (Prunus cerasus L.) at the Rodoč (Mostar) site. Traps baited with Dros’Attract® captured D. suzukii earlier in the growing season and in greater numbers compared to those baited with apple cider vinegar or red wine vinegar. However, the effectiveness of traps baited with Dros’Attract® did not differ significantly from those containing a combination of apple cider vinegar + red wine as attractants.
