ABSTRACT / SAŽETAK:
Istraživanje se fokusira na prisustvo, raspodelu i izvore mikroplastike u slivnom području Morače, uključujući njen glavni tok i pritoke Zetu, Cijevnu, Ribnicu i Sitnicu. Rezultati ukazuju da pritoke predstavljaju značajne rezervoare i transportne puteve MP ka glavnom toku, utičući na ekološko stanje Morače. Procjena rizika pokazuje da prisustvo mikroplastike u sedimentima predstavlja potencijalnu opasnost za biodiverzitet i kvalitet vode, dok sezonske varijacije u protoku pritoka utiču na transport i akumulaciju mikroplastike. Ovi nalazi naglašavaju potrebu za kontinuiranim monitoringom i implementacijom ciljanih mjera smanjenja zagađenja u slivnom području.
