ABSTRACT / САЖЕТАК:

The European Union’s agricultural sector is undergoing transformative changes driven by sustainability policies and climate objectives. While these measures position the EU as a global leader in environmental stewardship, they also expose the sector to significant vulnerabilities. Declining production, coupled with increased reliance on imports from regions with less stringent environmental standards, risks undermining EU environmental goals and competitiveness. These dynamics pose critical challenges to the resilience of EU food systems and rural economies.
