САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:
Since ancient times, there has been a confrontation between the peoples of the sea and the land, that is, those peoples who lived along the shores of the seas and oceans and those who lived in the depths of the continent. Later, the respective states, maritime and land, took shape, and the struggle between them intensified. However, the theoretical basis for this confrontation was summed up only in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Initially, it was the theory of naval power proposed by Alfred Mahan, then the theory of the “heartland” by Helford Mackinder, who embodied the idea of land power. Later, as technology advanced, Julio Due’s theory of air power emerged. Each of these theories justified the claims of the represented power to world domination. All three theories have been actively used by various states for decades. Even now, these theories are being used, although not so actively. In particular, the influence of these theories is noticeable not only in the military sphere, which has been vividly demonstrated by recent regional conflicts, but also in the transport and logistics sphere, which is characterized not only by the confrontation between sea and land transport routes for the transportation of goods, but also by the struggle for control over the rival transport corridors.
