SAŽETAK:
Autori u radu ispituju iskustva studenata učiteljskih i pedagoških fakulteta (N = 394) u vezi sa (a) korišćenjem elektronske knjige za potrebe studija; (b) uticajem pandemije kovida 19 na korišćenje e-knjige za potrebe studija i (v) faktorima koji su inicirali korišćenje elektronske knjige. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da dve trećine anketiranih koristi ovaj format knjige. Prema iskustvu više od trećine studenata, aktuelna zdravstvena kriza doprinela je korišćenju elektronske knjige u većoj meri nego ranije, dok je četvrtinu ispitanika motivisala da počne da je koristi. Korišćenje elektronske knjige inicirano je u najvećoj meri pod uticajem profesora i samostalnim pretraživanjem interneta. Budući učitelji i vaspitači sa područja Zapadnog Balkana otvoreni su prema korišćenju savremenih tehnologija, a aktuelna pandemija intenzivirala je korišćenje elektronske knjige za potrebe njihovog obrazovanja, što je doprinelo prevazilaženju teškoća izazvanih zdravstvenom krizom, kao i osposobljavanju za efikasan i efektivan rad sa budućim generacijama čitalaca različitih formi teksta.
