THE ACTS OF TERRORISM IN THE DRAFT VERSION OF THE MACEDONIAN CRIMINAL CODE

Having in mind the content of the draft version of the Macedonian Criminal Code (latest version dated December 5, 2025), it can be seen that, among other criminal acts, a special attention is given to the acts of terrorism represented through several provisions, i.e. Terrorism (Article 152), Financing of terrorism (Article 153), Terrorist association (Article 154), International terrorism (Article 155), Enabling the commission of the acts from Articles 152 to 155 (Article 156), Acts related to terrorist activities (Article 157), Punishment for the preparation of the acts from Articles 152 to 157 (Article 158), as well as Mitigation of the sentence for the perpetrator of the acts from Articles 152 to 157 (Article 159). Therefore, considering the seriousness of these criminal acts, the Paper shall focus on their drafted dispositions and sanctions, as well as to other relevant documents and legislation.
