КОЛОСТРУКЦИОНА АНАЛИЗА: (НЕ)ЗАМЕЊИВОСТ МОДАЛНИХ ГЛАГОЛА „МUST“ И „HAVE TO“

ABSTRACT / САЖЕТАК:

Предмет овог рада јесте анализа дистинктивних колексема модалних глагола must и have to у енглеском језику. Испитивани модали, из перспективе конструкционе граматике, представљају конструкције са празним пољима намењеним инфинитивним допунама. Анализа дистинктивних колексема ових модала подразумева одређивање инфинитива које привлачи једна, а које друга конструкција. Циљ истраживања јесте утврђивање разлика између два наизглед синонимна модала и њихове (не)замењивости на основу глагола које привлаче. Истраживање је спроведено на онлајн британском корпусу British National Corpus, применом једнe од квантитативних метода у оквиру колострукционе анализе. Квалитативно анализирани резултати показали су да се глаголи које конструкције привлаче разликују на основу регистра којем припадају и одређених семантичких својстава. Запажено је, такође, да је модал must формалнији и учесталији у писаном, док је have to, као неформалнија варијанта, најучесталији у говореном дискурсу.
