САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:

Maligne bolesti predstavljaju sve veći javno-zdravstveni problem i značajno opterećuju društvo. Odmah posle kardiovaskularnih bolesti, drugi vodeći uzrok obolevanja su maligni tumori. U Srbiji je kolorektalni karcinom drugi najčešći kod žena (iza raka dojke) i muškaraca (iza raka pluća). Poznati su brojni faktori koji povećavaju ili smanjuju rizik obolevanja.

Prevencija je usmerena na smanjenje broja obolelih, poboljšanje kvaliteta života i smanjenje troškova lečenja. Skrining podrazumeva primenu testa u presimptomatskoj fazi bolesti radi ranog otkrivanja ili identifikacije prekursora invazivne bolesti. Sprovodi se u asimptomatskoj populaciji prosečnog rizika radi otkrivanja ranih stadijuma i mogućnosti pravovremene terapije.
