SAŽETAK / ABSTRACT:
Gojaznost je bolest koja može da indukuje pojavu i drugih psihičkih i fizičkih bolesti, a gojazne osobe su često stigmatizovane i diskriminisane. Gojaznost se najčešče definiše kao stvar izbora što čitav pritisak stavlja na gojaznog pojedinca, pa se stoga javljaju osećanja stida, (samo)krivice, usamljenosti, izolovanosti. Pored farmakoterapije i hirurških intervencija, u lečenju gojaznosti jako bitnu ulogu igra i promena životnog stila. Uloga psihoterapije jeste da pomogne gojaznoj osobi da promeni životni stil u smislu promene ponašanja u ishrani, povećanja fizičke aktivnosti i prilagođavanja neaktivnosti, kao i poboljšanje imidža tela, samopoštovanja i samopotvrđivanja. Cilj ovog rada jeste predstaviti različite psihoterapijske modalitete, njihovo razumevanje i pristupanje lečenju gojaznosti. Integracija različitih psihoterapijskih modaliteta omogućava bolje razumevanje i shvatanje pojma gojaznosti, a samim tim i bolji pristup u lečenju gojaznih osoba.
