SAŽETAK:

Učenje elementarnih matematičkih pojmova uz angažovanje čitavog tela kroz fizički pokret može poboljšati matematičke perfor manse kod dece. Sticanje i razvoj matematičkih veština može se posmatra ti kao centralni kognitivni atribut u savremenom društvu. Uopšteno, ne razmišljamo o razvoju motoričkih veština i manipulativnih veština kao što je koordinacija ruka–oko kod beba, kao osnovnog elementa kognitivnog razvoja. Fine motoričke veštine snažan su prediktor kasnijeg postignuća u oblasti matematike. Autori upućuju na to da postoje velike razlike u nivou matematičkih sposobnosti između dece sa najsnažnijim i najsiromašnijim motoričkim veštinama i da su uzeti zajedno, fine motoričke veštine, po kret i igra, mnogo jači opšti prediktori za ostvarivanje dobrih rezultata u matematici.
