САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:
In this paper, I attempt to shed light to a psychological mechanism often underlying an agentχs recidivism after having committed an offense of whatever magnitude. This mechanism may work in parallel with the force of habit, as a justification of the agentχs reverting to the same immoral behaviour, but may also clarify why this is the case even in the absence of any practical purpose. Kierkegaard draws attention to this phenomenon and Euripidesχ Orestes provides a breathtaking illustration of it.
