ABSTRACT / САЖЕТАК:

The wine industry advances winemaking techniques to improve wine quality, sensory attributes, and potential health benefits. This study investigates the in vitro cytotoxic effects of Muscat Hamburg red wine enriched with melatonin during vinification. The biological activity was assessed using colorectal cancer (HT-29) and pancreatic cancer (PANC-1) cell lines. Results indicate that the melatonin-enriched wine exhibits cytotoxicity against both cell lines, with a stronger effect on PANC-1 compared to control wine, while both wines had similar effects on HT-29 cells. Further research is needed to elucidate the underlying mechanisms of action in different cancer cell lines.
