SAŽETAK / ABSTRACT:

Kako prepoznavanje darovitosti predstavlja delikatan, sistematičan proces, kompetentnost u njenoj identifikaciji podrazumeva upućenost na različite aspekte i načine na koje se ona manifestuje. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je da se ispitaju stavovi roditelja o prepoznavanju darovitosti kod dece, kao i da se utvrdi da li su i na koji način demografske karakteristike, poput pola i godina starosti roditelja, značajno povezane sa njihovim stavovima. Rezultati našeg istraživanja ukazuju na to da se stavovi roditelja o identifikaciji darovitosti kod dece ne razlikuju značajno u zavisnosti od faktora pola ili godina starosti roditelja. Rezultati takođe sugerišu da prilikom identifikacije roditelji integrišu kriterijume savremene teorije darovitosti, odnosno uvažavaju značajnost različitih vrsta osobina, ne ograničavajući se striktno na intelektualne, što ima važne implikacije za njihovu ulogu u prepoznavanju darovitosti.
