САЖЕТАК / ABSTRACT:

This paper examines the classic Freud’s theory on the origin of narcissism and Kohut’s psychology of self in reference to regressive thinking, considering the prospect of injuring the narcissistic being, which may instigate a specific way of thinking and development of the schizoid position. Interactivity3 is one of the fundamental phenomena of human existence and a prerequisite for preserving the human in the world. It not only represents the social form of communication, but rather a space in which the person obtains their affirmation, recognition, and form through the relationship with others4. This relationship is not just a form of information exchange, but also implies the exchange of meaning and feeling, thereby giving rise to the consciousness of the self and others. People do not exist only as a closed world in itself, but rather as beings who incessantly model themselves through relations with others through dialogue, thoughts, and emotions. Hence, interactivity can be perceived as a basic structure for unconscious human existence, as a space between “me” and “you” in which reality is continuously constituted5. When this kind of interactivity is disrupted, the value of intersubjective space, where truth, meaning, and empathy are formed, is weakened. In narcissistic relations, interactivity may become distorted.
